Job Overview
The Assistant Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in leading and supervising the department. This person must be able to maintain the stability of the department when the Supervisor isn't present.
Enjoy a comfortable schedule:
- Day shift: Monday - Thursday; 6:00 am - 4:30 pm; overtime as needed.
Highlights of your role
- In tandem with the Supervisor, provides employees with tools, information, knowledge and support to meet production goals
- Partners with Supervisor on process changes and continuous improvement projects
- Listens, and encourages to ensure a positive culture; creating a great place to work
- Supports the daily productivity by balancing labor against goals
- Communicates with and involves appropriate support departments when needed
- Meets and maintains quality measures
- Meets and maintains safety measures (i.e. OSHA incident rate)
- Investigate quality concerns to determine root cause
- Prevent quality issues from leaving the facility
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
- Supervisory experience (required)
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to multitask, remain organized, problem solve, and prioritize daily responsibilities
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written
- Possess interpersonal skills; ability to motivate, develop and coach employees
- Ability to understand department goals/metrics and communicate and execute plans established to meet those goals
