Project Information
The Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant is a landmark water infrastructure project delivered by the Alkimos SeaWater Alliance, a partnership of Water Corporation, ACCIONA and Jacobs. The project will secure a climate resilient drinking water supply for Western Australians as part of a $2.8 billion state water program, addressing declining rainfall and a growing population across Perth.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Health and Safety, you will support the Alkimos HSE function. You will maintain safety data integrity, support subcontractor and personnel mobilisation through project systems, and manage HSE documentation. You will produce safety communications and reports, support training and inductions, and coordinate HSE equipment, procurement and events. Working closely with project and site teams, you will gain broad HSE exposure on a major water alliance project and build a genuine foundation for a long term career in health and safety.
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
- Support health and safety data collection and maintain accuracy
- Assist mobilisation of subcontractors and personnel through project systems
- Manage and maintain project HSE documents and systems
- Prepare health and safety communications, reports and publications
- Support delivery of project training sessions and inductions
- Monitor availability of HSE equipment across the project
- Assist procurement and administration of HSE events and goods
Required Skills and Competencies
- Administrative experience in a health and safety or project environment
- Sound understanding of WHS legislative requirements
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative approach and ability to work within a team
