What you'll do...
Role summary:The Senior Technician, Facility Services, Food Equipment, ensures the safety, functionality, and maintenance of food service equipment and related facilities by performing inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance. This role involves diagnosing issues using technical manuals and blueprints, managing parts inventory, and overseeing contractors to meet quality and regulatory standards. The position includes training and mentoring less-experienced associates, coordinating maintenance schedules, and supporting business-critical needs through timely response and problem resolution. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and collaboration across teams to maintain operational excellence.

The Facility Services team ensures the safety, functionality, and compliance of food equipment through expert maintenance and repairs. Leveraging skills in plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, the team promptly diagnoses and resolves equipment issues. They manage maintenance schedules, oversee contractors, and maintain parts inventory with a strong focus on quality and safety standards. What you'll do:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on food equipment and facility systems following established schedules and guidelines.
- Inspect, clean, and diagnose equipment issues using blueprints, manuals, and parts catalogs.
- Oversee and guide less-experienced associates, providing hands-on training and instruction.
- Manage work orders, parts inventory, and contractor activities to ensure quality and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Conduct safety checks on machinery and vehicles, addressing hazards and maintaining operational readiness.
- Document maintenance activities, budget information, and submit required reports accurately and timely.
- Participate in on-call rotation to support critical business needs outside regular hours.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience performing maintenance, repair, and inspection of food equipment and related systems using multiple craft skills.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and company safety regulations with a commitment to compliance.
- Experience managing work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor relationships to ensure quality and cost control.
- Capability to lead, train, and mentor less-experienced technicians through hands-on instruction and guidance.
- Proficiency operating and inspecting heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teams and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.Option 2: 6 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
