Job Description
The Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:
Handle all stacking, corrugated case construction and perform assigned duties at presses and determined by production volume.
Move and stack production pallets as needed.
Responsible for cleanliness and orderly condition of a designated area of the molding department.
Observance of all safety and environmental procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Familiar with raw, in-process or finished materials and their locations and is responsible for neat and proper storage.
Possess a working knowledge of all processes and the components required to operate processes within the molding area.
Accurately records and reports waste and assists departmental supervision in maintaining inventory control.
Transports components from manufacturing to staging area.
Deliver molded components to Raw Material Warehouse.
Scan materials to storage locations in warehouse.
Remove materials from warehouse storage locations and prepare for transportation to production.
Manage colorant and additives as needed.
Maintains clean working conditions in assigned areas and reports any safety hazards to supervision immediately.
Ability to operate a forklift safely.
Work with limited supervision and maintain an atmosphere of cooperation among and between shifts, mold repair, quality control, assembly, engineering, and management to attain departmental goals.
Transportation of raw materials and finished goods to and from molding areas as needed for production.
Perform miscellaneous duties as required by supervision.
May include answering machine/equipment alarms as needed.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Must possess a forklift operator's license or be willing to undergo the required training and obtain the certification to operate a forklift.
Ability to read and write and converse in English.
Willing and able to uphold BD Values.
Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures, and standard processes, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly. Physical demand requirement is more than those for Light Work.
This position will require the successful completion of a company-paid drug screening test.
