Join our Accounting, Reporting and Control Team and advance your career as an ARC Senior Analyst!
The role is responsible for delivering high-quality Finance Group and Statutory Reporting support to assigned businesses and legal entities, ensuring compliance with Group Reporting standards and external regulatory requirements. It plays a key role in monthly, quarterly and annual close processes from a technical system perspective, handling complex accounting matters, statutory reporting activities, and audit support while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The position requires close collaboration with business partners, tax teams, auditors and statutory managers to manage statutory and tax deliverables and maintain a strong control environment. In addition to operational responsibilities, the role is expected to identify and drive process improvement opportunities, support ongoing transformation initiatives, and contribute to projects related to systems, legal entity simplification, and compliance. Strong accounting expertise, stakeholder management, and a continuous improvement attitude are essential to successfully perform the responsibilities of the role.
In this role You will:
Carry out the quarter end/ month end close processes in a timely and accurate manner for complex or difficult accounting areas requiring extensive experience in order to ensure the correct reporting and accounting treatment. Resolution of issues and queries may require reference to Group Reporting Manuals and / or working closely with the Business / Country teams supported/ other team members.
Deliver the statutory close for the entities/processes assigned to them, working together with the Statutory SME and Process Lead / Statutory Manager. Prepare statutory deliverables for stakeholders (statutory accounts, lead schedules, director’s brief, tax pack, EY deliverables, quality control checklists) and handle queries from partners.
Perform other non-close-related group reporting activities independently, including daily, weekly and monthly tasks. Absorb new ad-hoc activities and find new solutions for undiscovered areas. Invoice recording and payments.
Ensure that Tax packs are filled in properly and in a timely manner and queries received from Tax Teams (EY in India or KL and BP Tax in UK) are answered in order to enable the timely preparation and submission of the Corporation Tax Return.
Be familiar with the control environment relevant to their own area of responsibility, perform the responsibilities, and flag any control risks or gaps in a timely manner to the ARC Manager and the Internal Control team.
Look for opportunities to drive process improvements of a notable nature and work with the relevant people to put these in place.
Carry out quarterly analytical review commentary of BS and PL and support the internal teams with technical solutions for the analysis and control of incoming charges.
Support segment reporting/group audit where relevant working closely with counterparties to ensure timely follow up and resolution on queries.
What You will need to be successful:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
Proven experience in a related finance area.
