As a Senior Staff Engineer Unit Process Development SMT in our Research & Development team, you'll have the opportunity to merge creativity with your technical expertise by shaping the future of technology, driving groundbreaking projects, and bringing new ideas to life. Your role Key responsibilities in your new role Perform process development activities, including process parameter scouting, optimization, verification, and Process Freeze, within development projects to achieve project targets in terms of timeline, quality, cost competitiveness, and manufacturability. Lead or support technical handover and knowledge transfer activities to Operations. Generate and maintain relevant documentation,
including Process Specifications, PFMEA, DFMEA, Master FMEA, OJTI, T32, and
PDR. Support the build of prototype and development
samples. Provide input for the update of related documents and
ensure the accuracy of their content, including Process of Record, Assembly
Design Rules, Process Roadmap, Failure Catalogue, Control Plan, Maintenance
Checklist, and Unit Process Roadmap for development projects. Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous
improvement and perform verification and qualification activities for new
tooling, equipment, and materials within development projects. Serve as the technical lead for task forces and
complex problem-solving teams, utilizing statistical and analytical tools such
as SPC, APC, DOE, 8D, FMEA, and DFMEA. Identify and develop new process technologies and
enhance process capabilities to meet evolving requirements from Business
Divisions. Support the definition and development of process technology,
materials, equipment, and tooling. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers
and project teams. Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline. More than 10 years of working experience in the SMT, PCBA manufacturing industry, or other relevant industries. Strong hands-on experience and technical expertise in SMT processes, including screen printing, component placement, and reflow. Knowledge of mechanical engineering, stencil tooling design, and reflow processes. Proficiency in statistical data analysis, including Design of Experiments (DOE). Knowledge of fluid and thermo-mechanical simulation is an added advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
