As our next Configuration Management Analyst for NAVAIR, you'll collaborate with talented professionals to create innovative, mission-critical solutions that empower naval aviation and defense operations. Your expertise will help shape cutting-edge systems, enhance national security, and drive technological advancement for our nation.
Responsibilities

This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity, control, and traceability of all software assets—including documents, code, and baselines—prior to formal government acceptance (DD-250). The specialist will act as a central coordination hub between government engineering teams and contracting vendors, facilitating agile tool administration, process improvement, and rigorous configuration and data control.
Key Responsibilities
Software CM and DM (Prior to DD-250):
- Execute rigorous Software Configuration Management (CM) and Data Management (DM) processes prior to formal acceptance (DD-250).
- Manage engineering release configurations, ensuring that all software builds, versions, and associated documentation are properly baselined, tracked, and accessible in both government and vendor environments.
CDRL Tracking & Adjudication:
- Lead software Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) tracking and comment adjudication coordination.
- Route vendor deliverables to appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), aggregate and format technical comments, check for duplication, and manage the iterative adjudication cycle between the Government and contractors to ensure timely closure of deliverables.
Technical Writing & Tool Administration:
- Provide technical writing support to draft, format, and refine program documentation, meeting minutes, agendas for Program Increment (PI) planning events, and team Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administer team Agile collaboration tools, manage user access, track software licenses, and submit and track vendor credential and access requests.
Process Improvement:
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements across CM workflows, data tracking methodologies, and tool utilization to reduce administrative friction for the engineering team.
Qualifications
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, must be a U.S. citizen.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience managing Software Configuration Management (SCM) processes, release coordination, and data management workflows.
- Technical Acumen: Demonstrated experience in requirements tracking, establishing configuration baselines, managing change control, and handling release communications with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Tools Proficiency: Hands-on experience with the Atlassian suite (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and Agile collaboration tools is required.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
