Position Summary
The Inventory Control Coordinator is the subject matter expert for all things related to inventory movement, storage and accuracy. The role is responsible for managing raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods inventory by performing daily cycle counts.
Essential Job Functions
· Coordinate and conduct daily cycle count activities.
· Collect and enter data into the ERP system.
· Generate daily cycle count variance report and review in daily production meeting.
· Analyze, investigate and assist in correcting inventory discrepancies.
· Assist with incoming inventory, receiving discrepancies and negative inventory.
· Monitor production and warehouse for proper flow of goods and storage.
· Train cycle count team members, provide back-up support and guidance for other department members as needed.
· Update and maintain cycle count and inventory control related work instructions.
Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in inventory control or supply chain management in a manufacturing environment preferred.
· Must be able to operate and maintain a forklift certification.
· General knowledge of ERP
· Strong math skills including the ability to calculate material usage percentages and inventory variance trends.
· Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
· Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
· Excellent organizational skills and analytical skills with great attention to detail.
· Must be able to identify and communicate issues and offer proposed solutions.
