You will be responsible for providing end-to-end technical support for both on-site and remote employees. The ideal candidate will blend strong technical troubleshooting skills (Windows environments, hybrid AD, and network fundamentals) with an understanding of strict IT management workflows using NinjaOne. This role is highly dynamic and serves as a critical pillar for maintaining operational readiness and strict security compliance.
Key Responsibilities
End-User & System Support
- Provide remote and on-site support for local and distributed staff.
- Troubleshoot advanced Windows workstation/laptop issues (e.g., corrupt OS recovery, driver conflicts, safe mode diagnostics, and TPM initialization errors).
- Administer and maintain user profiles within a Windows Domain operating in a Hybrid Active Directory configuration.
- Assist users with the complete Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive/OneCloud, Office apps, and related productivity tools).
Remote Management & Infrastructure Maintenance
- Utilize NinjaOne for day-to-day remote support, monitoring, patching, and endpoint management.
- Perform, audit, and push software installations, packaging, and critical operating system updates.
- Configure and maintain local and network printing infrastructure for multiple physical offices.
- Assist with basic network management, including troubleshooting TCP/IP configurations, testing connections, and supporting remote employees using VPN technologies.
Identity Management & Access Control
- Support the onboarding and offboarding process
- Manage and provision file permissions, document libraries, and collaboration access natively within SharePoint sites.
- Document all system changes, configuration defaults, and resolution paths inside our internal ticketing and knowledge base frameworks.
Compliance
- Adhere strictly to institutional security baselines required of a defense contractor
- Execute other related infrastructure tasks and hardware handling to support a 150-user, multi-site network footprint.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years of dedicated help desk or desktop engineering experience.
- RMM Tooling: Direct, hands-on experience utilizing NinjaOne for patch management, scripting, and endpoint health reporting.
- Environments: Deep familiarity with Hybrid Active Directory setups, Azure/Entra ID integrations, and SharePoint architecture.
- Networking: Clear understanding of core TCP/IP principles, network switches, and corporate VPN connectivity client tracking.
- Hardware: Proficient in disassembling, upgrading, and diagnosing physical hardware issues on business-class desktops and laptops, including conference room setup and support for Teams meetings.
- Soft Skills: Outstanding universal communication skills; ability to explain complex technical fixes in simple language to non-native speakers.
- Security Clearance: Must be a US Citizen capable of obtaining or maintaining a security clearance (due to defense contractor operating requirements).
Required Experience
Candidates must demonstrate direct, hands-on administrative or troubleshooting experience with the following platforms:
- RMM & Endpoint Management: NinjaOne (or a closely related framework) for remote access, patch deployment, scripting, and endpoint monitoring.
- Collaboration & File Systems: SharePoint Administration, including permissions mapping, document library structure, and site management.
- Productivity Suites: Comprehensive support of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Credential Vaulting: Enterprise password management utilities, specifically Keeper Password Manager, to enforce credential hygiene.
- AI & Modern Workflows: Ability to leverage free GenAI tools to accelerate troubleshooting, scripting, and documentation, while strictly maintaining confidentiality guidelines through non-sensitive prompting.
Preferred, Nice-to-Have Skills
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 or CMMC framework system compliance baselines.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Modern Desktop Administrator, Network+, CompTIA Security+).
