- Financial Manager
- Role Purpose
- The Financial Manager works closely with the other Financial Manager and the Client Director on the client portfolios, for which the Client Director is ultimately responsible. The Financial Manager supervises and manages a team of (Junior/Medior/Senior) Financials and Support Officers on a daily basis and is responsible for the team planning in cooperation with the Legal Manager
- Main Responsibilities:
- Manage own client portfolio together with Junior, Medior and Senior Financials;
- Managing, guiding, assessing and motivating her / his team (members) in a constructive manner and coordinating and planning activities within the team in consultation with the Client Director;
- Act as back-up / back-up of the Client Director with regard to team matters;
- Assisting clients in the field of Dutch company law, as well as in the fiscal and administrative / financial area;
- Attend and actively participate in client board meetings
- Ensure compliance with the relevant supervisory legislation and regulations;
- Signaling and mitigating risk (factors);
- Authorization of payments, cash management, as well as responsible for monitoring incoming and outgoing money flows per client company in which the Financial Manager is involved;
- Making proposals in the area of new products, as well as contributing to their implementation;
- Contribute to the expansion of (existing) client portfolio;
- Assess whether documents can be signed with both the position of Apex Financial Services B.V., in its capacity as director, as the company interest being considered;
- Maintaining contacts with consultants and clients and proactively expanding these;
- To be able to represent Apex externally;
- Contribute to internally related projects;
- Contributing to and monitoring of high-quality standards;
- Compliance and monitoring of internal procedures;
- Quality as well as quantity of: client entities deadlines of administration, monthly and quarterly reporting, annual accounts, tax return filings, transaction monitoring reporting, manage proactive the chargeability goals of financials, planning of orderly presence of absence, holiday and vacation, mandatory training of staff, appraisal interviews and staff recruitment;
- Engaged in commercial activities together with Client Directors and Commercial Director.
Qualification and Experience
- At least a completed education at HBO level (SPD / HEAO-BE / BA / AC) or university;
- Knowledge of Dutch law;
- Knowledge of relevant (supervisory) laws and regulations;
- Knowledge of relevant tax legislation and financial legislation, various accounting standards, IFRS is a plus;
- At least 5 - 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the financial service industry;
- Good assessment level and high level of client responsibility;
- To be able to view issues with client companies from a more comprehensive point of view ("helicopter view") and to make connections with other disciplines;
- Excellent communication skills: good oral and written expression in (business) English, as well as being able to give presentations in different situations;
- Analytical ability and numerical insight;
