JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY: Food Production - Line Lead - Full-Time
Starting pay: $20.85/HR
This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to ensure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson's policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include, but are not limited to the following)
- Observe and promote Plant Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices, including conducting observations and audits as assigned.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism. Ensure you are following all FSQA (Food Safety Quality Assurance) policies, Core Safety Mandates and all Safety policies, and HR/Code of Conduct policies.
- Ensure a safe, wholesome product consistently by referring to and following product specifications and completing all applicable paperwork/reports, downtime, coach worksheet, HACCP, etc.
- Responsible for overseeing all aspects of on-the-job training including generating Standard Work, developing and maintaining Training Matrix, and completing performance reviews, evaluations, and coaching.
- Tracks and maintains production records, completes all required paperwork, uploads information, and maintains records as required.
- Completes daily, weekly, and monthly production tasks including; huddles, audits, roster reviews, and product evaluations.
- Actively engages in problem-solving and troubleshooting, including completion of Lean Training.
- Relieves Supervisors and Skilled Operators during periods of planned and unplanned time off.
- Must be willing and able to perform all positions within the designated Zone, as needed.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime and weekends.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Completes training to educate self on: HACCP, CCP’s, SSOP's, and GMP's
- Requires Safety Toe shoes.
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation)
- Must be willing and able to work in cold environments (30 -40°F temperatures).
- Must be willing and able to walk and stand continuously for up to 10 hours per day.
- Must be willing and able to use hands and fingers to grasp and feel.
- Must be willing and able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl throughout the day.
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 30 pounds and/or move up to 300 pounds (with assistance).
- Must be willing and able to perform repetitive motions up to 60 times per minute using hands and arms.
- Must be willing and able to wear all required Protective Equipment including ear plugs, hairnets, smocks/frocks, safety-toe shoes, and cut gloves.
