Job Description Summary
Lead Manufacturing Finance Analyst of the Power Transmission Bushing factory in Sesto San Giovanni reporting to the Power Transmission Italy Finance Leader and serving as a key financial partner to the plant leadership team. This role is responsible for driving financial rigor, providing analytical insights, and ensuring accuracy of forecasts. The successful candidate will lead budget planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost-improvement initiatives, helping the business optimize operational efficiency and maximize profitability.Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Power Transmission Italy Finance Leader and Site leader in all finance activities to support growth and margin expansion
- Lead FP&A cycle: Monthly/Quarterly closing, Budget and Strategic plan, partner with plant management to set financial targets and track performance against them.
- Cost Accounting & Control: Oversee standard costing processes, including the annual cost roll, inventory valuation, and scrap analysis. Ensure all financial activities comply with corporate policies and US GAAP.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of production variances (material, labor, overhead, and spending). Identify root causes of deviations and provide actionable recommendations to the operations team to drive cost containment.
- Business Partnership: Act as a strategic advisor to the Plant Manager. Attend production meetings to provide financial context for operational decisions and highlight risks/opportunities.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational dashboards to track factory performance, headcount efficiency, and capital expenditure (CapEx) tracking.
- Continuous Improvement: Partner with Lean or Six Sigma teams to quantify the financial impact of process improvements, cost-out projects, and productivity initiatives.
- Audit & Compliance: Ensure strong internal controls are in place and provide documentation for internal/external audits.
- Drive AI initiative to simplify/transform finance and cross function activities.
- Drive cash improvement (Paid on time / Past due / Pay Term reduction) in coordination with Project Manager and Sales teams
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- proven relevant accounting/controlling experience
- SAP FI / CO / MM
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluency in English and Italian in writing and speaking
