What can you expect:
The purpose of this position is to ensure timely, high-quality database support by executing production AVDF and database-related tasks including requests to store data for a client, fix data errors, manage disk space or storage, monitors database performance, develops scripts and provides outstanding technical support to the internal end-user community. This role helps to set the strategic direction for the CIS AVDF support.

Planning and executing on strategic database activities including on more complex issues:
Support in Installation, configuration and upgrading AVDF and Oracle software and products as per guidelines given. AVDF and Oracle goldenhgate knowledge is a must
Creating and sizing database storage structures and database objects
Planning for and actual backup and recovery of database information
Work on Change Orders as per implementation plan
We will count on you to:
Daily operations responsibilities include handling and serving as the team member on the following items/activities:
Knowledge of AVDF
Knowledge of Oracle golden gate
Monitoring system alerts and errors and resolve issues independently
Controlling and monitoring different shell scripts
Controlling and monitoring user access to the database
Controlling and monitoring Standby and replication process.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting Space Issues
Application Patching
Backup/Restore (RMAN and Disk based)
Support Users in Deployment in Dev/QA/Prod
Manage RAC clusters and associated grid infrastructure software
Manage disk space via ASM
Monitor databases using OEM and scripts
Data Migration to Cloud
Experience with Golden Gate is desirable
Experience with Apex is desirable
IaaS and PaaS knowledge
Writing Cron Jobs/Shell scripting for database administration tasks
Troubleshooting database Alerts.
Application Specific Database Tasks such as creation of Full Vol schema etc.
Peer review support team database activities and work with support team issues that impact the database
Support activities include:
SR creation and follow-up Experience with Oracle Support
Ability to provide technical assistance and recommendations to developers.
Provide off-hours(Night Shift) and Weekend on-call database support

What you need to have:
3-5 years of database Administration.
Should have worked on UNIX platforms preferably on HP, Linux, and Solaris.
Experience in AVDF, Oracle Goldengate, Oracle RAC, Datagaurd, RMAN.
Sound knowledge Shell Scripting.
Knowledge of 3rd party tools like (SQL Developer /Toad)).
Knowledge of Data Grid.
Knowledge of Golden Gate
Knowledge of APEX
Client Handling in High Pressure Situation
