As a Security Officer Medical Facility  Full Time  Patrol Recognition in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to concerns, and support a welcoming campus environment. Pay Rate: $20.40 - $21.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking locations, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, check identification and credentials as directed, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity according to location procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with campus representatives and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrol observations, incidents, hazards, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
