Custodian - O'Hare Airport - Full Time

Overview

The O'Hare Multi-Modal Facility is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented full-time Custodian to join our team. This position is located at Chicago O'Hare International Airport, 10255 W Zemke Blvd Chicago, IL 60666. The starting pay for this position is $18/hour, based on a 40-hour work week.

 

The schedule available is:

• Monday: 8:00am - 4:30pm 
• Tuesday: 8:00am - 4:30pm 
• Wednesday: 8:00am - 4:30pm 
• Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm 
• Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm

In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both customers and employees. Responsibilities include the cleanliness and upkeep of customer-facing areas, breakrooms, quick turnaround area, bathrooms and the floorplate lot. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, demonstrates a strong commitment to customer service, and consistently upholds quality and safety standards. 

Responsibilities

We are hiring now for immediate openings.  Responsibilities include:

 

• Inspect, clean, and maintain child safety seats, ensuring all equipment is free of damage, within expiration guidelines, properly bagged, and accurately distributed to each rental brand
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain floors to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Clean and sanitize customer service areas, offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and common spaces.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste in accordance with company procedures.
• Dust and wipe down furniture, windows, countertops, and other surfaces to maintain facility appearance.
• Clean interior and exterior glass, doors, and high-touch surfaces regularly.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, restroom products, and other facility essentials.
• Respond promptly to spills, safety hazards, and cleanliness concerns.
• Perform routine inspections of assigned areas and report maintenance or repair needs.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring facilities remain clean, welcoming, and professional at all times.

• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age. 
• Must have valid driver's license with no more than one moving violation and/or at-fault accident on driving record in the past three years.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
• Must live within 30 minutes of O'Hare Airport.
