Motorcycle Detailer

MOTORCYCLE RIDING EXPERIENCE IS A MUST! APPLY ONLY IF YOU MEET THIS REQUIREMENT! (Motorcycle license preferred but not required)

You will be riding/driving/pushing (with a helmet) large 900lb bagger HD's, sport bikes, ATV's, SXS's etc. at low speed on a concrete warehouse floor. Your safety, and the safety of our auction units are paramount.

Seeking a hard-working individual that will help us change batteries on, clean and detail motorcycles, ATVs, SXS's, and other powersports vehicles. The Detail Department provides clean units for us to do condition reports on and post in our biweekly auction. The ideal candidate will be a team player who takes pride in doing the job right. If you are self-motivated, organized, and have attention to detail, we want you!

This is an hourly full-time position working Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with an occasional required overtime depending on production volume.

Summary of Responsibilities:

This person is responsible for washing and detailing all received vehicles and may also be responsible for warehouse inventory and placement. The ability to work safely and responsibly as well as occasional overtime is a must.

Basic Employee Responsibilities:

MOTORCYCLE RIDING EXPERIENCE IS A MUST! APPLY ONLY IF YOU MEET THIS REQUIREMENT! (Motorcycle License Preferred)

• Arrive to work on time per required work schedule
• Be courteous and respectful to fellow employees and customers
• Use company equipment for company purposes only
• Operate company vehicles safely and within their intended purpose
• Dress appropriately for particular job duties and within the parameters of our current employee manual (no open toe shoes in the warehouse)
• Keep work area neat and clean at all times
• Always ask questions when uncertainty arises

Job Specific Requirements:

• Wash and detail units
• Responsible for detail area cleanliness
• Responsible for the relocation of detailed units to pre-condition report area
• Verify that vehicles are labeled and have keys
• Verify that vehicles have enough fuel to process a condition report
• Clean out saddle bags
• Attach keys to units for security
• Put correct air pressure in tires as needed
• Change batteries as necessary
• Must be able to maneuver and operate a 2-wheel motorcycle with expertise
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
• Must be able to push a rolling 900lb motorcycle with relative ease
• Help unload/load vehicles from trucks and trailers as needed
• Must not be sensitive to chemicals, cleaners, and fuel fumes
• Responsible for all company equipment and tools associated with detail
• Responsible for the detailing of the auction cart on auction day
• Responsible for moving auction cart on auction day
• Keep clean rags separate from dirty ones
