OB Coordinator - Mercy Clinic OB/GYN

Location: Mercy Clinic OB/GYN - 10004 Kennerly Rd, Suite 230A, St. Louis, MO 63128

Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | Mon-Fri | Day Shift | 7:30am-4:30pm

Help Create a Supportive, Coordinated Experience for Our OB Patients

Join the Mercy Clinic OB/GYN team as an OB Coordinator, where you’ll play an important role in helping patients navigate their care. In this position, you’ll serve as a key point of contact for patients, helping coordinate appointments, testing, procedures, medical records, and other important details throughout their care. You’ll work closely with patients, physicians, clinics, and other team members to keep care organized, address questions and concerns, and provide a compassionate, personalized patient experience. This is a great opportunity for someone with medical office or customer service experience who enjoys working with patients, coordinating multiple details, solving problems, and being part of a collaborative healthcare team.

What You’ll Do

As an OB Coordinator, you will:

• Serve as a key point of contact for patients and help guide them through their care
• Coordinate office visits, testing, procedures, and other scheduled services
• Assist with patient scheduling and ensure important timelines and follow-up needs are addressed
• Communicate with patients regarding appointments, care needs, questions, and concerns
• Coordinate with physicians, clinics, and other members of the care team
• Collect and coordinate medical records
• Confirm required pre-authorizations and notifications
• Help facilitate physician care plan conferences as needed
• Assist and escort patients during their visits when appropriate
• Monitor deadlines and turnaround times and communicate potential barriers or needs
• Track and report patient and program information as requested
• Answer incoming telephone calls, which may include after-hours calls
• Provide compassionate, professional, and personalized service throughout the patient experience

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma

Licensure

• Valid driver's license

Experience

• Previous experience in a medical office or customer service position

Skills

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Professional verbal and written communication
• Critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate details
• Ability to type 50 words per minute
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, clinics, and team members

Preferred

• BLS certification
