Role Overview

The QA Workflow Supervisor is responsible for the co - ordination of work through the QA and QC Teams by maintaining close communication with company planning functions.

This involves awareness and communication of inspection and documentation pack creation capacities and the priority setting of these functions to align with company planning requirements.

The QA Workflow Supervisor should be the single point of contact for the planning of the QA and QC teams daily

work priorities, allowing the QC Inspectors and QA Administrators to concentrate on quality related activities in an

independent and consistent manner without undue production pressures

Key Responsibilities

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• QA and QC Team representative at Business Planning Meetings (BPM).

• Single point of contact for all QA & QC planning and capacity requirements.

• Organising and planning jobs for QC lab and dye - pen based on BPM information, project managers & team leaders requests or by using available data.

• Daily monitoring and moving of QC related NCRs, ensuring updates are fed back to the planning and projects teams.

• Organising ad hoc inspection to support investigations; typical requirements arise from process capability studies, customer returns, NCR containment activities, supplier issues and new product introductions.

• Arrangement of external inspection resources such as ultrasonic inspection, dye pen and visual inspection as required to meet business needs.

• Arrangement of internal PMI testing by QC Inspectors as required to meet business needs.

• Close liaison between planning, projects and QC Inspectors to ensure pre - planned external witness inspections on behalf of customers are conducted in a smooth and controlled manner.

• Liaison with QA & QC Teams regarding overtime to support business requirements.

• Support departmental improvement projects from a planning and capacity perspective.

• Perform other such duties commensurate with the nature and level of the post as may be reasonably required.
