About Human Resources at Deutsche Bank

The Human Resources team plays a key role in supporting the Bank's business strategy by attracting, developing and retaining talent while fostering an inclusive, engaging and high-performing work environment.

As an HR Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of Human Resources disciplines, supporting both strategic and operational HR activities. You will work closely with senior HR professionals and business stakeholders, contributing to initiatives across recruitment, learning and development, employee engagement, talent management, governance, communications and HR operations.

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of Human Resources within a global investment bank while building professional skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Campus Programs

  • Support the end-to-end recruitment process for Internship and Graduate Programs
  • Coordinate internal and external job postings
  • Partner with hiring managers and recruitment vendors
  • Schedule interviews and manage candidate communications
  • Conduct HR screening interviews
  • Support hiring documentation and onboarding activities
  • Maintain recruitment records and reporting
  • Assist with university partnerships and internship program administration

Mandatory Certifications and Regulatory Processes

  • Support employee registration and tracking of mandatory certifications
  • Monitor certification validity periods and renewal requirements
  • Produce reports and compliance metrics
  • Respond to audit requests and regulatory inquiries
  • Coordinate with Compliance, Business and employees regarding certification requirements

Learning and Development

  • Support training enrollment and administration
  • Manage participant registrations and confirmations
  • Track attendance and completion records
  • Assist with learning campaigns and development initiatives
  • Produce training reports and dashboards

HR Governance and Administration

  • Support the review and maintenance of HR policies, procedures and documentation
  • Assist with employee data management and process controls
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management meetings
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and risk management standards
  • Support audits and governance activities when required

Internal Communications and Employee Engagement

  • Support internal communication campaigns
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives and events
  • Collaborate with local committees and employee networks
  • Contribute to Employer Branding activities
  • Help create communication materials and presentations

HR Business Partner Support

  • Provide administrative and analytical support to the HR Business Partner team
  • Assist with talent reviews, organizational updates and workforce planning activities
  • Prepare executive presentations and management reports
  • Conduct research and benchmarking activities
  • Support regional and global HR projects as required

What We Are Looking For

Technical Skills

  • Enrollment in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Economics, Law or related fields
  • Graduation expected from December 2028 onwards (allowing availability for a two-year internship program)
  • Advanced English (written and verbal)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting
  • PowerPoint skills with the ability to prepare professional executive presentations
  • Interest in Human Resources, Talent Management and Organizational Development
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Power Automate, Copilot or data visualization tools is a plus

Working Model

  • Hybrid working model (3 days per week in the office)
  • Availability to work 6 hours per day (10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., including 1 hour lunch break)
  • Ability to commit to a two-year internship program
