Description
DevSecOps Software Engineer
OASYS, INC., a Leading-Edge Government contractor in Huntsville Alabama, is seeking a Software Engineer with DevSecOps Cloud experience. Provide Continuous Integration / Continuous Development cloud-based support our Air Force customer in our facility Research Park, Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibilities include: Engaging with a team of software engineers, providing technical support for the design, implement, and maintenance of a secure CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar platform.
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
- Integrate security scanning and testing tools into automated pipelines, including SAST, DAST, SCA, and container security scanners.
- Assist in developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Contribute to containerized application deployments and support secure configurations within Docker and Kubernetes environments.
- Help enforce security policies, compliance standards, and DevSecOps best practices across development and deployment workflows.
- Participate in automating security monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response processes.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to embed security controls throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to compliance efforts aligned with NIST, STIGs, FedRAMP, and other relevant security frameworks.
- Participate in security assessments, penetration testing activities, and vulnerability remediation.
- Support troubleshooting of security, infrastructure, and software issues in production and non-production environments.
- Assist with ongoing software maintenance to ensure performance, reliability, and adherence to secure coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews and requirement gathering discussions with cross functional teams.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in DevSecOps. Cybersecurity, software security, or related technical roles are a plus.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoW Secret Clearance; an active Secret Clearance is strongly preferred.
- Experience with development environments including version control systems, security tools, and pipeline automation solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Education: Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Cyber, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other STEM discipline however, years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
Eligibility: Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoW Secret Clearance. An Active Secret Clearance is highly desired.
