Job Description
As a Security Officer Unarmed TWIC Patrol Driver in Wilmington, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, respond to alarms and incidents, and help to deter security-related concerns through a visible presence. This driving position offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that delivers through teamwork and acts with integrity.

- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate at a chemical/petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-condition notifications, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate observations through established reporting channels.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
- Monitor access control points, verify authorized entry, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, unusual conditions, and policy violations while helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting site emergency procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least two years of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Possess a TSA-issued TWIC card.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
