Communications Advisor

Citi is seeking a and proactive communications professional to join the Global Communications team in Sydney as a Communications Advisor. Reporting to the Head of Global Communications for Australia and New Zealand, this role is ideal for a communications all-rounder who is eager to develop their career within a global financial institution.

The successful candidate will provide execution support across internal and external communications, while taking direct ownership of internal digital communications channels, media monitoring and reporting processes. This role offers a balance of hands-on channel management and collaborative support media relations and internal communications.

Responsibilities:

• Source, draft, and publish content for Citi’s internal digital channels in Australia and New Zealand, including digital signage, SharePoint, and internal newsletters.
• Manage and grow Citi’s local LinkedIn presence, drafting posts, coordinating approvals, and identifying opportunities to showcase Citi in Australia.
• Track, analyse, and report on all internal communications to continuously optimise engagement.
• With the support of AI tools, compile comprehensive media coverage reports and campaign dashboards to demonstrate the impact of communications activities.
• Provide tactical support to the communications team on external communications, including maintaining media lists.
• Support the coordination and execution of key employee engagement events, such as Town Halls.
• Manage administrative and operational processes for the communications team, including Continuity of Business (CoB) planning.

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt writing styles for different channels.
• Experience managing digital content eg SharePoint, digital signage, and professional social media networks (LinkedIn).
• Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with a sharp eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Confident in working with data and analytics tools to compile clear, reports on media and internal communications performance.
• A self-starter with a positive attitude who takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a small team and build positive relationships across different business lines.

Education and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, communications or another related field
• Relevant communications experience
