Class 2 HIAB Driver
Location: Bishops Stortford
Pay: £18.00 per hour inclusive of holiday pay
Hours: 7am start, 8 hour shift
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 HIAB Driver to join a busy drainage and building supplies company based in Bishops Stortford.
This is initially a temporary position running from Friday 25th September until 2nd October. There may be an opportunity for the role to become permanent, although this cannot be guaranteed.
You will be responsible for making deliveries to customers and building sites, using a HIAB crane to safely load and unload materials.
What You’ll Do
Drive a Class 2 rigid vehicle safely and responsibly
Complete local deliveries to customers, builders and construction sites
Operate the HIAB crane to load and unload building and drainage materials
Secure loads correctly and complete vehicle checks
Deliver materials on time and provide good customer service
Follow all relevant driving, site and health and safety procedures
Complete delivery paperwork and any required checks
What We’re Looking For
Valid Class 2 licence, Category C
Current CPC and Digital Tachograph
HIAB or lorry loader experience
Experience delivering to building sites or construction customers would be useful
Good understanding of safe load handling and securing
Reliable and professional approach
Good communication and customer service skills
Who Might Suit This Role
This role could suit an experienced Class 2 HIAB Driver, HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Driver, Lorry Loader Driver or Class 2 Delivery Driver.
Candidates with experience delivering building materials, drainage products, timber, concrete products, aggregates or other heavy materials may also be well suited.
Experience working in construction logistics, builders merchants, building supplies, drainage or trade deliveries would be particularly relevant.
