Accounting Clerk (Customer Maintenance)

Job Summary

The Accounting Clerk (Customer Maintenance) is responsible for maintaining accurate customer account information, processing agricultural exemption documentation, supporting customer data integrity, and providing administrative support to the Accounting department. This entry-level position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with customers, store personnel, and internal departments to ensure accurate records and efficient processing of account information.

Key Responsibilities

• Review new customer accounts to verify proper account setup and ensure data accuracy. Research, identify, and resolve duplicate customer records to maintain database integrity.
• Maintain customer equipment records and make updates as requested.  
• Collaborate with store personnel and customers to verify information and determine appropriate account corrections
• Merge duplicate customer and contact records and maintain documentation of completed merges.
• Review Agricultural Exemption documentation for completeness and accuracy and update customer accounts with exemption numbers, exemption status, and expiration dates.
• Assist with special projects and other accounting or administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
• 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Work Environment

• Office-based position at our Administration building in Woodway, TX
• May involve extended periods of computer use and data entry
