The Opportunity

As an Advisory National - Commercial Tech & Innovation - AI Engineering Intern, you will immerse yourself in the dynamic world of data science, contributing to projects that leverage advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to extract insights and drive data-driven decision-making. Within our Advisory practice, you will support teams in delivering specialized advisory services that address unique client needs, helping businesses navigate complex challenges and thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape.

As an Intern, you will focus on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices, supporting teams with basic tasks, and participating in projects. You will observe professional work environments and contribute reliably to the team's success. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your personal brand and build commercial awareness while applying a learning mindset. In this role, you will engage in a variety of assignments, each presenting different challenges and scope, allowing you to ask questions, take initiative, and produce quality work that adds value for our clients.

Responsibilities

- Supporting teams in data science projects by applying artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques
- Participating in the development and implementation of predictive models to drive data-driven decision-making
- Assisting in the analysis and interpretation of complex data sets using statistical methods and data mining techniques
- Collaborating with advisory consultants to leverage data science insights for client growth and competitive advantage
- Engaging in the design and maintenance of data pipelines to validate efficient data flow and quality
- Utilizing programming languages such as C++ and R to develop algorithms and enhance data processing capabilities
- Contributing to the creation of data models and data lakes for scalable analytics solutions
- Observing and learning from experienced professionals to gain exposure to PwC's practices and methodologies
- Applying a learning mindset to develop personal skills and understanding of data science workflows

What You Must Have

- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree
- Client service intern positions are entry-level and job seekers are traditionally either in their 3rd year of a 4 year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 year program. Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year

What Sets You Apart

- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Data Processing/Analytics/Science, Computer Science, Systems Engineering
- Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.3
- Preferred major GPA: 3.3
- Leveraging AI to create efficiencies, innovate ways of working and deliver distinctive outcomes
- Demonstrating enthusiasm for learning and applying data science techniques
- Participating in projects involving machine learning and predictive modeling
- Supporting teams with data engineering and complex data analysis tasks
- Observing and learning from experienced professionals in AI and data science
- Engaging in active listening and accepting feedback to improve skills

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
