1099 Flooring Installer-Independent Contractor

Description

We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and skilled flooring installer to join Strands, a Painter Supply and Equipment Co. as a 1099 independent contractor. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates professionally, and can be trusted to represent our store with courtesy and professionalism while working in customers’ homes.

The flooring installer will be responsible for completing residential flooring installations efficiently, accurately, and to a high standard of quality. The ability to identify and work through installation challenges while maintaining excellent customer service is essential.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. The contractor is responsible for maintaining their own required business licensing, insurance, tools, vehicle, taxes, and other expenses associated with operating as an independent contractor.

Full-time or part-time opportunities are available. Work will be scheduled based on customer projects, installation needs, and mutually agreed-upon time frames.

Experience installing some or all of the following flooring types is preferred:

• Carpet
• Vinyl flooring
• Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP)
• Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT)
• Hardwood
• Ceramic tile

Requirements

• Must carry liability insurance and provide proof of coverage 
• Must have a reliable vehicle suitable for transporting necessary materials and equipment
• Must provide and maintain your own professional tools and equipment
• Proven experience as a professional flooring installer
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Reliable and punctual, with the ability to meet agreed-upon schedules and time frames
• Professional communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to work independently and solve problems that may arise during installation
• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment
• Ability to perform repetitive movements, including bending, kneeling, lifting, standing, and working on floors for extended periods
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment in customers’ homes
• Must conduct yourself professionally and respectfully while representing our store
