Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care, supervision, and support to adult clients.
- Assist with household chores and help clients with medication self-administration.
- Facilitate social activities and accompany clients on approved outings.
- Conduct basic group sessions with clients.
- Perform house rounds to ensure a safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with clients to maintain their health and safety.
- Complete and maintain accurate chart documentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; experience working with individuals with mental health disabilities in a facility setting is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for compassionate and motivated hires.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as per the agency’s auto insurance requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a community-based treatment setting.
- Understanding of, and sensitivity to, working with a diverse, multi-ethnic population.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to be friendly yet maintain professional boundaries to help guide clients toward their goals.
- Proficient in critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work shifts as assigned.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to obtain Department of Justice clearance per Community Care Licensing requirements.
- Commitment to participate in at least 20 hours of in-service training and supervision annually.
Pay: $21.00/ hour
