THE JOB:

It is the responsibility of the Carpet Layer to install carpet and perform carpet repairs throughout the property. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and 
ordinances, as well as department and company policies, practices, and procedures to ensure overall facility integrity.
 

THE STARTING RATE: $32.86 USD Hourly

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair work on flooring systems throughout the property, 
  responsible for completion of all jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management and maintain logbooks
  Operate power and hand tools to complete job assignments in a timely manner. Perform carpet 
  installations and repairs to include: seaming of various types of carpet, power stretching, kick stretching, 
  wall trimming, pattern-carpet matching, carpet backings, direct-glue installation.
  Work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner
  Understand the layout of the property, hotel rooms, and equipment
  Keep informed and updated on current techniques and technical methods and advise Shift Supervisor of 
  any unusual conditions within the property
  Maintain constant awareness of personal and property cleanliness, safety and accident prevention, able 
  to wear/use personal protective equipment (p.p.e.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

• Two (2) years of prior relevant experience in a similar environment

• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders

• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
