Job's mission
As a Process Engineer, RF, you will play a key role in advancing ASM’s plasma-enabled technologies that power next-generation semiconductor manufacturing. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will develop, optimize, and troubleshoot RF and plasma solutions that drive equipment performance, reliability, and innovation. This is an opportunity to solve complex technical challenges while contributing to technologies that enable the future of AI, advanced computing, and connected devices.
What you will be working on
- Develop and optimize RF modules and reactor solutions for ASM products.
- Design and implement reliable RF structures that deliver stable performance in demanding operating environments.
- Troubleshoot and support RF generators, matching networks, and related hardware systems.
- Characterize plasma performance and investigate RF- and plasma-related hardware and process issues.
- Develop and enhance FPGA-based control solutions to maximize plasma performance.
- Analyze experimental and system performance data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop innovative solutions and support product development programs.
- Contribute to the successful execution of technology and product development projects.
What we are looking for
- Master’s degree or PhD in Electronics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with RF plasma technologies in a research, development, or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of RF systems, plasma generation, and semiconductor process technologies.
- Experience troubleshooting RF hardware, generators, matching networks, or related systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical challenges.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English in a global business environment.
What sets you apart
- Minimum 3 years of experience in RF plasma applications within the semiconductor equipment industry.
- Broad experience analyzing, designing, and debugging complex RF systems.
- Knowledge of plasma deposition technologies such as CVD, ALD, EPI, PECVD, or PEALD.
- Experience designing, implementing, and improving electrical equipment, subsystems, and instrumentation for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Familiarity with industry standards including CE, NEC, IEC, NFPA, VDE, SEMI S2, and related requirements.
- Experience supporting modular equipment designs for offline assembly and manufacturing.
- Programming experience with FPGA-based systems and control applications.
- Proficiency with engineering and design tools such as AutoCAD, OrCAD, Altium, MRP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
