Responsibilities 

• Support month-end, quarter-end and year end closing activities, including variance analysis, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations. 

• Assist with cash management and analysis. 

• Contribute to drafting and improving general accounting procedures including cash flow, fixed assets, and month-end modules. 

• Identify opportunities to enhance tools and streamline processes. 

• Support the Accounts Receivable team with customer account analysis, reconciliations, follow-up on discrepancies, and the preparation of information related to past-due balances. 

• Assist the Accounts Payable team with invoice validation, supplier statement reconciliations, discrepancy analysis, and selected payment-cycle activities. 

• Collaborate on internal control and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) initiatives, including the documentation of key processes and controls, collection of audit evidence, execution of control testing, and monitoring of action plans arising from internal audit and external auditor recommendations. 

• Perform additional accounting tasks as needed. 

• The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders. 

Qualifications 

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, CPA path.   

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint. 

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy. 

• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset. 

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
