Job Description 
HPE’s acquisition of Juniper Networks is one of the most significant moves in the company’s history, bringing two networking leaders together to build HPE Networking, with the ambition of creating the best networking business on the planet. This role sits at the center of that effort as part of the Lead-to-Cash (L2C) program, responsible for unifying quoting, ordering, and fulfillment across the combined HPE and Juniper networking portfolios onto a single platform, replacing fragmented legacy systems with one seamless, scalable experience for sellers, partners, and customers worldwide. 

As part of a fast-moving, multi-year transformation, the team will stabilize near-term operations, migrate core platforms, onboard businesses and suppliers globally, and build new capabilities from the ground up. The choices made here will shape how the combined networking business operates for years to come. You will work closely with business leaders, IT architects, suppliers, and partner stakeholders on a program with direct executive visibility, solving integration challenges at a scale few companies ever attempt.

What you’ll do:

Responsibilities 

• Own the end-to-end solution design for SAP Convergent Invoicing (CI) and Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA) within the L2C landscape, covering subscription and software billing, invoicing, and receivables. 

• Translate subscription and software monetization requirements — recurring, usage-based, consumption, and entitlement-driven models — into billable item classes, rating/charging logic, invoicing rules, and revenue-relevant postings. 

• Design the integration architecture between CI/FI-CA and upstream quoting, ordering, and provisioning systems, and downstream FI/CO, revenue recognition, tax, payment, and dunning processes. 

• Define the data model and mapping for billable item transfer (BIT), invoicing document flow, contract accounts, and business partner structures across the combined HPE and Juniper portfolios. 

• Lead design decisions on convergent invoicing consolidation, billing cycles, credit/rebill, adjustments, write-offs, and dispute handling. 

• Produce and maintain solution architecture artifacts: functional and technical designs, interface specifications, decision logs, and non-functional requirements for performance and high-volume billing runs. 

• Guide offshore development and configuration teams, review build against design, and resolve design gaps raised during build, test, and HyperCare. 

• Partner with business process owners, finance, tax, and IT architects to validate designs, drive design authority approvals, and manage cross-workstream dependencies. 

• Support data migration and cutover planning for open items, contract accounts, and in-flight subscriptions, including reconciliation approach. 

• Contribute to stabilization of near-term operations while building the target-state platform, balancing tactical fixes against long-term architecture integrity. 

What you need to bring:

Education And Experience Required 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree an asset. 

• 10+ years of SAP experience, including 5+ years focused on Convergent Invoicing and FI-CA in a solution architect or lead functional design capacity. 

• Demonstrated experience delivering at least two full-lifecycle SAP CI/FI-CA implementations, ideally on S/4HANA, including design, build, test, cutover, and post-go-live support. 

• Hands-on experience with subscription, software, or services monetization in a high-volume billing environment (telco, software, or technology sector preferred). 

• Experience integrating SAP billing with CPQ/CRM, order management, provisioning, and revenue recognition platforms. 

• Experience working in large, multi-year transformation programs with global, distributed onshore/offshore delivery teams. 

• SAP certification in S/4HANA Finance, BRIM, or Convergent Invoicing an asset. 

Knowledge And Skills  

• Deep functional and architectural knowledge of SAP BRIM components: Convergent Invoicing, FI-CA, Subscription Order Management, and Convergent Charging concepts. 

• Strong command of FI-CA configuration: contract accounts, business partner, main/sub transactions, payment and dunning, clearing, returns, and account balance processing. 

• Working knowledge of the underlying technical layer — BIT structures, event modules, BRFplus/derivation logic, IDoc/OData/API-based interfaces, and mass activity performance tuning. 

• Solid understanding of order-to-cash and record-to-report process flows, including revenue recognition (IFRS 15/ASC 606), tax determination, and intercompany implications. 

• Ability to design for scale: high-volume billing runs, parallel processing, archiving, and reconciliation controls. 

• Strong architecture documentation and design-authority skills; able to defend design choices to senior business and IT stakeholders. 

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical design into business outcomes for executive audiences. 

• Proven ability to work independently in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment and to mentor functional and technical team members. 

• Collaborative, pragmatic problem solver comfortable operating across time zones in a globally distributed team.
