Role summary:Walmart is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions aligned with platform and business objectives. This role involves full lifecycle development, including design, coding, testing, and deployment of services, APIs, and AI/ML components. About the team:
The Advertising Technology (AdTech) team develops scalable platforms supporting advertisers, agencies, partners, and internal stakeholders. The team specializes in Ad Serving, Campaign Management, Lead Generation, Business Management, Media Planning, Billing, Insights, Generative AI, Measurement, Reporting, Targeting, Creative, and Third-Party Tools. AdTech delivers intelligent solutions that enhance advertiser engagement and operational efficiency. By aligning technology with business goals, the team drives advertising revenue growth and expands platform capabilities beyond Walmart Connect. The team fosters innovation and builds trusted partnerships across Walmart’s advertising ecosystem to support continuous advancement and high-quality software delivery.
What you'll do:
- Own scoped feature and model delivery through collaborative engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support.
- Write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
- Integrate AI and ML components to enhance software intelligence and leverage GenAI tools to improve development velocity.
- Assist in solution design, participate in design reviews, and ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and define success metrics.
- Monitor application performance and ensure adherence to project milestones through proactive DevOps practices.
- Promote engineering excellence by sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, and driving continuous improvement.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.
- Strong technical acumen with experience in code review, debugging, and continuous development.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver scoped features or models through collaborative engineering teams.
- Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance software solutions.
- Proficiency in managing full software development lifecycle including CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
- Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software aligned with platform and business objectives.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
