What you'll do...

Role summary:
As a Senior Product Manager, you will lead the vision and strategy for a complex product or product family, leveraging deep customer insights and market analysis to drive impactful business outcomes. This role requires independent ownership of product roadmaps, stakeholder collaboration. You will apply data-driven decision-making and innovative approaches to optimize product performance, guide technology adoption, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Your leadership will foster continuous improvement and deliver scalable solutions that meet evolving customer and business needs.
About the team:
The Walmart Inventory Planning Capabilities Product Management team develops advanced forecasting and planning solutions using machine learning and statistical modeling. This team manages the inventory planning ecosystem across omni-channel networks, focusing on forecasting, inventory placement, targets, and item lifecycle management. By optimizing inventory positioning and safety stock, the team enhances operational efficiency. Members lead product strategy, execution, and continuous improvement while collaborating closely with engineering and business partners. They demonstrate strong ownership and data-driven decision making to support Walmart’s merchandising goals and deliver impactful business outcomes.
What you'll do:
  • Define and drive product vision and strategy for complex product families by leveraging market insights and competitive assessments.
  • Build deep customer understanding through design thinking, journey mapping, and data analysis to identify and prioritize key problems.
  • Develop and manage product roadmaps, balancing technical architecture, risks, and stakeholder requirements to ensure successful delivery.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to align on goals and promote best practices.
  • Utilize data-driven decision making and AI capabilities to optimize product outcomes and validate assumptions.
  • Influence technology adoption and innovation to enhance product performance and scalability.

What you'll bring:
  • Extensive experience managing complex products or product families with strategic vision and autonomy.
  • Proven ability to apply design thinking and customer journey mapping to identify and solve complex problems.
  • Strong expertise in product lifecycle management, including roadmap development, risk management, and MVP planning.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision making, advanced analytics, and leveraging AI to enhance product outcomes.
  • Demonstrated skills in stakeholder management and cross-functional team influence without direct authority.
  • Solid knowledge of technology architecture, cloud services, and emerging technology adoption.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in product management. Option 2: 7 years’ experience in product management or related area.

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 4 years’ experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
