Own the project control activity globally and drive consistent functional specifications and common global processes for projects implementation. Activities that are conducted to better understand or ultimately meet the expectations of the customer Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage ITO (Inquiry to Order) activities, including specifications review, preparation of Technical/Commercial proposals, and adherence to GEV's procedures and approval principles.
- Review technical and commercial specifications, prepare compliance tables and comments for customer specifications, and develop solution descriptions (system architecture, technical solutions, data sheets, etc.).
- Perform proposal cost calculations involving OTR when required.
- Support Sales managers with GEV's technical proposal presentations and clarifications to customers as needed.
- Revise GEV proposals presented to customers in accordance with opportunity requirements.
- Review customer Terms & Conditions and recommend modifications in alignment with GEV's standard terms and conditions, with legal department support.
- Follow appropriate approval processes as required by GEV's policies and procedures.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments, including Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, and Services teams.
- Review purchase orders to ensure alignment with GEV's proposal and latest negotiation communications. Request order revisions when necessary and follow GEV's OTR handover procedure to transmit all relevant information to required stakeholders.
- Adhere to GEV compliance policies ('The Spirit and The Letter') and promote open reporting.
- Contribute to internal training programs.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced experience in Engineering/Technology and Customer Application Engineering, combining strong technical expertise with solid business acumen and an understanding of customer requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification and experience.
- Knowledge of Electricity Transmission, Distribution, and Industrial markets, as well as Substation Control Systems.
- Strong autonomy and attention to detail.
- Fully fluent in English and Spanish. Additional languages valued (French, Italian, Romanian and/or Portuguese).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focus and the ability to collaborate across departments.
