Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Overall project management responsibilities including planning, leading teams to implement deliverables, task completion, and maintaining effective communications with Microchip and customer stakeholders
- Develop and maintain timely status reports on programs
- Track material and labor expenditures and review cost reports
- Working with finance team, prepare monthly ETC/EAC calculations
- Prepare program resource reports and financial reports on programs
- Monitor technical progress in support of design development programs
- Monitor major manufacturing programs
- Generate and maintain program schedules (IMS)
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and sales forecasts
- Conduct program meetings and design reviews
- Be the focal point for customers on programs and manage all correspondence with customers
- Understand industry specifications as they apply to assigned products and processes
- Liaise with Functional Managers and Business Development personnel to build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the projects
- Correspond with key customers in a timely manner to define specifications, provide status updates and resolve any issues that may arise
- Domestic and International travel may be required
Requirements/Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- BS degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical or electrical preferred)
- 3-5 years of program/project management or engineering team lead experience in the aerospace field
- Strong expertise using MS Project
- Good working knowledge of various contract types: Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Plus, Time & Material (T&M) contracts
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS or certificate in Project Management highly desired
- Experience interfacing with accounting and finance functions
- Familiarity with high reliability electronics manufacturing processes
- Experience with design/development programs in power electronics
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $70,304-$143,000.**Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
