An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Commercial Banking Finance Cost Team.Our Business Partners are Group Finance’s front line into the business. They think strategically and are trusted advisors to the group and its leadership teams. Business Partners provide challenge and insight and champion a culture of curiosity in order to truly understand the businesses they're supporting.
As the organisation continues to evolve, there is an increasing focus on cost distribution and ensuring financial information is understood, actionable and aligned to business priorities. This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making while developing a broad understanding of Commercial Banking, Group Finance and the wider organisation.

Job Description
What will I be doing?
- Build trusted partnerships across Finance, Business, Centres of Excellence and supplier management teams, acting as a key point of contact for cost-related insight and decision support.
- Lead and enhance cost distribution and cost transparency reporting, helping stakeholders understand how costs are allocated and consumed across the organisation.
- Provide effective challenge to allocation methodologies, assumptions and investment decisions, ensuring transparency, consistency and alignment to business objectives.
- Develop meaningful management information and reporting that translates complex financial information into actionable insight.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve cost transparency, efficiency and decision making.
- Support strategic planning, investment decisions and forecasting activities through robust financial analysis and challenge.
- Drive continuous improvement, automation and innovation opportunities to simplify processes, improve transparency and enhance decision making.
- Take ownership for identifying risks, opportunities and actions that support improved financial outcomes.
- Present compelling and insightful financial narratives that influence decisions and support strategic priorities.
What you'll need
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience analysing complex cost structures and translating data into meaningful business outcomes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, simplification and innovation.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Advanced Excel skills, with Power BI and planning tool experience desirable.
- Financial qualification or equivalent commercial experience and knowledge.
