Job Title: Ambulatory / Surgical Registered Nurse (Pre-Op & PACU RN)
Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Ambulatory / Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional perioperative care to surgical patients across Pre-Op and PACU settings. Utilizing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—you will deliver high-quality care in accordance with professional clinical standards, ensuring safe patient outcomes and exceptional family support throughout the surgical experience.
Compensation & Perks:
- Pay Rate: $31.62+ / hour (commensurate with education and experience)
- Relocation Allowance: Up to $5,000 relocation assistance available (discussed during interview)
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Operative Care: Perform pre-surgical nursing assessments, prepare patients for surgery, start IVs, administer pre-op medications, and provide patient/family education.
- Intraoperative & Recovery Support: Monitor patients post-procedure, evaluate recovery metrics, manage pain protocols, and coordinate discharge planning.
- On-Call Availability: Participate in rotational department call schedules across surgery, PACU, and ambulatory units (weeknights and weekend rotations).
- Interdisciplinary Care: Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to manage workflow and ensure patient safety.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma from an accredited institution [Required]. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) License [Required].
- Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross [Highly Preferred / Required within 90 days].
- Experience: Recent acute care or surgical hospital experience within the past 5 years [Preferred].
