About this Role: As a Civil Inspector, you will be part of the Construction Supervision Department, reporting to the Resident Engineer and Section Engineers. You will be responsible for conducting site inspections on road and traffic construction projects to ensure that construction activities comply with approved plans, specifications, codes, and land boundaries provided by the Government. This role requires close coordination with the construction team, engineers, and contractors to verify structural quality, material compliance, and adherence to contract documents throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect projects during and after construction for structural quality, general safety, and conformance to specifications and codes
- Inspect facilities and installations to determine environmental impact and conformity with design
- Monitor use of materials and construction techniques to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Monitor installation of plumbing, wiring, equipment, and appliances for proper installation and regulatory compliance
- Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures or fixtures against building plans and codes
- Maintain daily logs and supplement inspection records with photographs
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, standards, and applicable laws and regulations
- Attend off-site and out-of-country inspections for review of materials/samples, mock-ups, and testing as required by the contract documents
- Inspect procured construction materials delivered to site to ensure compliance with ministerial requirements, specifications, contract documents, and approvals
- Ensure materials delivered on site are properly stored and protected per manufacturer recommendations to avoid damage
- Correspond and communicate with the construction team to obtain accurate survey control point information for assigned project sites
- Conduct inspections on project sites to ensure adherence to approved shop drawings and snag lists
- Ensure the accuracy of all information obtained on construction activities
- Perform additional duties as reasonably required by the role
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in construction inspection, quality control, or site supervision, preferably on roads/infrastructure projects
- Working knowledge of construction codes, standards, and material specifications
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications
- Basic proficiency in surveying tools/equipment and measurement techniques
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for daily reporting and coordination with engineers and contractors
- Proficiency in relevant software for documentation and reporting (e.g., MS Office; familiarity with site inspection or QA/QC software is a plus)

- This position is based at a remote site. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license and have reliable means of transportation to commute independently
