Supervisor: Controller 

Department: Corp Administration 

Type: October to End of Season / Seasonal

Position Overview: Manage, count, and record Resort cash inflow from cashier stations, tips, and manage bank deposits.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Cashier Supervisor and support for Resort cashiers.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain cashiering efficiency, cash handling, credit card, and gift card systems.
  • Resource to operations staff to answer cash and credit card questions. 
  • Ensure the house bank and ATM daily cash levels are adequate for operations.
  • Count daily cashier station banks and make daily deposits. 
  • Order monies from the bank, pickup, ensure house bank accuracy, and make deposits.
  • Perform all duties of the Controller in their absence.
  • Responsible for preparation of accurate and timely financial information to submit for review. 
  • Review Cashier Supervisors reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform the job and get along with others.
  • Work together with all departments to build a positive working environment.
  • Show up to work on time, consistent attendance, and dependable.
  • Physically perform the essential job functions of this position. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Environmental Factors:

  • Sitting, bending, and rotating constantly for extended periods of time.
  • Frequently standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
  • Repetitive use of hands, arms, shoulders, and back constantly.
  • Carrying and lifting to waist level of 20 lbs. and walking on uneven and slippery terrain infrequently. 
  • Sight and hearing of acceptable standards for Essential Job Functions.
  • The working environment may be stressful when meeting public demands and staff needs.
  • Exposure to cold temperatures.

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Intermediate math skills and experience with cash handling. 
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and POS systems.
  • Intermediate skills with 10 key by touch.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to relate in a positive manner to guests and co-workers.
  • Ability to problem solve and provide solution-oriented suggestions. 
  • Ability and commitment to on-site work four/five days a week throughout the Winter Season, with a schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multitask.
  • Excellent knowledge of resort offerings and guest services.
  • Thorough understanding of company policies and practices.
  • Organized and attention to detail.
  • Reliable transportation.

Education / Experience:

  • Two years experience in service related industry preferred.
  • One year experience as Cashier Supervisor preferred.
  • Two years experience with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer software.
  • One year experience with POS and HRM systems preferred but not required.
  • Valid Washington Driver license.
  • Background check required.
  • Valid Washington Driver License.
