The Practice Manager is responsible for providing overall supervision and coordination of outpatient medical practice service activities and programs for hospital-owned clinics. Responsibilities include but are not limited to operations, financial reporting, insurance oversight, A / R oversight, personnel management, and oversight of practice management. Practice ManagerESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as a liaison between practice physicians and office staff between the practice and other clinical and administrative areas.
- Develop growth strategies and business plans in cooperation with practice physicians and leadership.
- Support financial, budget and business goals.
- Ensure adequate staffing is in place to meet the demands of the practice.
- Monitor the billing and collection functions.
- Oversee daily operations of practice including but not limited to services, site policies, staff development, and patient flow.
- Manage staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management.
- Perform and oversee scheduling and day to day operations
- Assess quality of and coordinate patient care services with patients, staff, providers, and other necessary team members.
- Establish and implement effective workplace procedures
- Ensure policies and best practices are up to industry standards and government regulations
- Hire, train and monitor administrative stuff
- Supervise daily practice operations such as billing, debt collections, security and occupational health and safety
- Coordinate regular staff meetings and performance reviews
- Ensure success of the practice and the physicians through marketing strategies and ROI reporting
- Interview, hire and train new staff in accordance with HR guidelines
- Review productivity and make staffing adjustments as needed
- Monitor and approve time cards and track staff licensure requirements
- Review volumes, productivity, MU, RVU and expense reports
- Monitor patient scheduling, referrals and satisfaction
- Assist in the recruitment of new patients
- Interact with patients and gain feedback about the practice
- Address patient complaints in a caring and timely manner
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Must possess effective communication skills to effectively work with patients and staff
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with Physicians, other medical professionals, office personnel employees and patients

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of basic Medical terminology

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare related field required
- At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting required.
- 1 year of leadership or management experience required.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s Degree in a business or healthcare related field preferred
