Job Description:

Supporting the leadership of a more connected future of care

St Vincent's has been a leader in Australia's health and aged care landscape for more than 165 years. Since our founders, the Sisters of Charity, opened our first hospital in 1857, our services and people have been behind some of Australia's most important medical breakthroughs. Today, as we expand care beyond hospital walls and create more connected models of care, St Vincent’s is helping shape a better, fairer health and aged care system.

We are looking for a special kind of person - a St Vincent’s kind of person. Someone who combines sharp thinking, good judgement and deep care for others.

The Opportunity

We are presently recruiting an Information Technology Service Management (ITSM), Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB) & Asset Management Lead. As SVHA continues to mature its Enterprise Service Management capability, this role will play a critical part in establishing trusted service and asset data foundations, enabling automation opportunities, improving operational visibility and supporting the expansion of Enterprise Service Management capabilities across the organisation.

We are currently offering a permanent full-time position, however, are open to discussing a fixed-term contract should this be the preferred option of the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

The role serves as the custodian of SVHA's technology asset, configuration and service management data, ensuring the integrity, accuracy and governance of the information that underpins service delivery, asset lifecycle management, cybersecurity operations, change management, operational reporting, compliance activities and future AI-enabled capabilities.

The role is responsible for maintaining trusted technology data foundations that support future automation, analytics and AI-enabled service management capabilities.

Key day to day accountabilities include:

  • Administer and maintain the Enterprise Service Management platform, ensuring system availability, performance and reliability.

  • Configure and maintain workflows, forms, service catalogues, templates, notifications, business rules, automation routines and service portals.

  • Support platform upgrades, testing activities, release deployments, vendor-led enhancements and environment management.

  • Monitor platform utilisation, system health and performance to ensure optimal service delivery.

  • Administer and maintain the Enterprise IT Asset Management capability across hardware, software, cloud and service assets.

About You

As a dynamic and dedicated technology professional, you understand the critical role of IT operations within a multi-site healthcare environment such as St Vincent’s.

You are customer centric, driven by a desire to identify opportunities to improve process and systems. Furthermore, you thrive in complex environments, quickly resolving challenges and translating complexity into clear advice, decisions and action.

To be successful in these roles, it is anticipated you will possess:

  • A minimum 5 years' experience administering Enterprise Service Management, IT Service Management or Asset Management platforms.

  • Proven experience administering IT Asset Management processes including asset lifecycle governance, discovery and reconciliation.

  • Strong understanding of ITIL Service Management principles and Service Configuration Management practices.

  • Experience developing reporting, dashboards and operational analytics.

  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality management and information integrity controls.

  • Experience working with enterprise technology teams, vendors and stakeholders.

  • Highly developed analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Demonstrated experience managing or supporting a CMDB in a large and complex enterprise environment.

Whilst not essential, previous exposure to healthcare operational environments will be highly regarded.

Why Join St Vincent’s?

At St Vincent’s, our people are inspired by a shared commitment to Compassion, Justice, Integrity and Excellence. We are building a better and fairer health and aged care system and believe our greatest strength lies in our people.

You will join an organisation that:

  • Supports innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Encourages authentic leadership and inclusivity.

  • Offers the opportunity to work alongside some of Australia's most respected healthcare and executive leaders.

  • Provides flexibility and the chance to make a significant impact at an enterprise level.

Additionally, in exchange for your contributions, you will receive:

  • A competitive base salary coupled with genuine work/life balance, a collaborative team environment and supportive leadership

  •  ‘Not for profit’ salary sacrificing (reducing your taxable income by $15,990 per annum)

  • A wide range of additional salary packaging options including vehicle novated leasing and a Meals & Entertainment card (reducing your tax by a further $2,650 per annum)

  • Employee Assistance Program for team members and their families and free annual flu vaccination

  • Access to Fitness Passport discounted gym membership for team members and their families
