Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and commercially minded finance leader to serve as VP, Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Asia and Chief Financial Officer, Emerging Markets. This highly visible role partners closely with the Asia CEO, Asia CFO, Global FP&A leadership, and the Emerging Markets General Manager to drive financial performance, strategic planning, and business growth across the Asia region.

As a key member of both the Asia Finance Leadership Team and Emerging Markets Leadership Team, the successful candidate will provide financial leadership, actionable insights, and decision support for one of the company's most important growth regions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Finance Leadership

  • Lead regional financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support growth, profitability, and capital allocation decisions.
  • Partner with senior executives to align financial strategy with business objectives.

Performance Management & Business Insights

  • Monitor financial performance across Asia markets, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Lead monthly business reviews and deliver financial insights to regional and global leadership.
  • Develop performance metrics, management reporting, and executive dashboards to support decision-making.

CFO, Emerging Markets

  • Serve as the trusted finance partner to the GM, Emerging Markets.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance on business performance, growth initiatives, and investment decisions.
  • Lead and coordinate finance activities across Emerging Markets.

Business Partnering

  • Collaborate with country CFOs and business leaders on strategic initiatives, including market expansion, transformation, and product growth.
  • Deliver scenario analysis and financial modeling to support key business decisions.

Transformation & Operational Excellence

  • Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
  • Champion the use of analytics, automation, and digital tools to improve finance effectiveness and efficiency.

Leadership

  • Lead and develop a high-performing regional FP&A and Emerging Markets finance organization.
  • Foster collaboration, innovation, and accountability across teams and stakeholders.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to financial controls, policies, and regulatory requirements across the region.
  • Support effective financial reporting, audit readiness, and risk management practices.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience in insurance or financial services.
  • Proven track record leading regional or global FP&A functions within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Strong understanding of insurance industry financial drivers, planning processes, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Deep knowledge of Asian markets and regulatory environments.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
