Description

Reporting to the Talent Partner, the Talent Acquisition Manager will lead Head Office recruitment across Mountain Group, partnering closely with business leaders to attract and hire exceptional talent in a fast-paced and evolving retail environment. 

The role will have primary responsibility for recruitment across Technology, Digital/eCommerce and Finance functions, while directly managing a Talent Acquisition Specialist who supports recruitment across the wider Head Office teams, including Buying, Merchandising, Design, Supply Chain, Customer Care and other corporate functions. 

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and delivering the Head Office talent strategy, driving continuous improvement across recruitment processes, employer branding and talent attraction initiatives. They will be responsible for ensuring an outstanding candidate and hiring manager experience while championing Mountain Group's values and supporting business growth through the recruitment of high-quality talent. 

This role is a hybrid position, with 3 days per week based in our London Victoria Head Office. 



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver end-to-end recruitment across Technology, Digital/eCommerce and Finance functions. 
  • Directly manage and coach a Talent Acquisition Specialist responsible for recruitment across the wider Head Office functions. 
  • Partner with senior stakeholders and leadership teams to understand current and future hiring needs, workforce plans and organisational priorities. 
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing and talent attraction strategies to identify and engage high-calibre candidates. 
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines across key business-critical skill areas, particularly within Technology, Digital and Finance. 
  • Provide expert recruitment advice and market insight to hiring managers, supporting informed hiring decisions. 
  • Review and refine job descriptions, interview processes and assessment methodologies to ensure they are aligned to business requirements and deliver the best hiring outcomes. 
  • Utilise a variety of recruitment channels, including job boards, LinkedIn, networking, referrals and talent communities, to source diverse talent. 
  • Drive consistency and excellence throughout the recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a positive candidate and hiring manager experience. 
  • Manage and optimise the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring data accuracy, compliance and meaningful reporting. 
  • Monitor recruitment metrics and analyse trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and increased hiring effectiveness. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, recruitment suppliers, universities and industry networks. 
  • Champion and enhance Mountain Warehouse's employer brand, helping position the business as an employer of choice within the retail, digital and technology talent markets. 
  • Support onboarding activities to ensure a seamless transition from candidate to employee. 
  • Stay up to date with market trends, talent intelligence and recruitment best practices. 
  • Partner with the Talent Partner on strategic people initiatives, including employer branding, careers site development, talent attraction campaigns, recruitment technology and process improvement projects. 



We would like to meet someone who has

  • Proven in-house Talent Acquisition experience within a fast-paced retail, consumer or multi-site business, with a strong focus on Head Office recruitment. 
  • Demonstrated success recruiting across Technology, Digital/eCommerce and/or Finance functions. 
  • Previous people management experience, with the ability to coach, develop and support team members. 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing and partnering with senior business leaders. 
  • Excellent understanding of recruitment best practice, candidate attraction strategies and assessment methodologies. 
  • Experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle across a variety of professional and specialist roles. 
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to use recruitment data and market insights to drive decision-making and continuous improvement. 
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment technologies. 
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and excellent project management skills. 
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment. 
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional candidate and hiring manager experiences.
