AI-Enabled Predictive Analytics for SSD Test Equipment Health Monitoring
Project Description
Objective of the Project
Develop a data-driven equipment monitoring framework that leverages engineering data and AI-enabled analytics to identify early indicators of equipment degradation, optimize maintenance strategies, and improve SSD test equipment reliability in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment.
The intern will gain hands-on exposure to semiconductor manufacturing, equipment engineering, data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled engineering workflows while working on real-world manufacturing challenges.
Project Scope
Learning Opportunities
Understand SSD test manufacturing processes and semiconductor production environments.
Learn the architecture and operation of automated SSD test equipment platforms.
Gain experience in equipment reliability engineering and predictive maintenance methodologies.
Develop skills in data extraction, cleansing, analysis, and visualization using engineering datasets.
Apply AI tools and analytical techniques to derive actionable equipment health insights.
Collaborate with equipment, process, manufacturing, and automation engineering teams on cross-functional improvement initiatives.
Deliverables
Develop a centralized equipment health monitoring dashboard utilizing manufacturing and equipment datasets.
Perform statistical analysis to identify key indicators associated with equipment performance degradation.
Create an AI-assisted anomaly detection methodology for selected equipment subsystems.
Recommend predictive maintenance opportunities based on engineering data findings.
Document the analysis methodology, results, and business impact of the implemented solution.
Present project outcomes and recommendations to site engineering stakeholders.
Skillsets Required
Fundamental understanding of engineering principles and data analysis concepts.
Programming knowledge in Python, SQL, or equivalent analytical tools.
Familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Exposure to AI tools, machine learning concepts, or AI-enabled workflows is advantageous.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
Course of Interest
The ideal candidate should be pursuing Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field of study.
Duration of Period
The ideal candidate should be able to commit to a full-time internship period of 5 months from Jan to May 2027.
