Description
The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in Liverpool. We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Hours: 09:30am start
Pay Rate: £16.36 per hour PAYE with overtime at £24.54 after 40 hours
Location: Liverpool, L11

The role:
- Mainly collections with some deliveries.
- Manual handling required as drivers will assist with loading and unloading parcels at depots and customers locations.
- Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely Collections / deliveries.
- Operating devices and company software to update delivery status and to communicate with the depot.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
- Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
- Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
- Have at least 6 months of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
