This role designs and executes test plans, validates defect fixes, and monitors production health to protect customer experience. The position collaborates with development, product, and support teams to streamline release readiness and drive continuous improvement. The engineer builds automated checks, maintains test data, and improves observability for rapid issue detection. Success is measured by defect leakage reduction, test coverage growth, and stable, predictable deployments.

Essential Job Skills/Duties
• Drive and improve advanced quality planning (AQP) and system processes
• Execute transfers, mass production, and process sustainment
• Establish standardization and monitor containment actions for quality issues
• Develop and review process controls (FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans, etc.)
• Ensure product and parts meet customer requirements
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Drive cross-functional improvements based on failure analysis and data
• Validate effectiveness of actions through audits and performance tracking
• Lead continuous improvement and change management initiatives
Required Technical Skills
• Continuous improvement and quality manufacturing
• Problem-solving methodologies (PDCA, DMAIC, 8D, 7QC tools)
• Mobile testing, repair, troubleshooting, and diagnostics
• Knowledge of advanced mobile communications technology
• Advanced quality planning and non-conformance handling systems
• Familiarity with management and quality standards (ISO, EMS, IMS, IPC, JEDEC)
• Technical writing, communication, leadership, and MS Office skills
Required Soft/Leadership Skills
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication.

Required Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 2+ years software quality assurance experience.
• Hands-on automated and manual testing experience.

• Background in electronics manufacturing set-up

• Lean Six Sigma
Supervisory Responsibilities
• May mentor junior QA team members.
• No direct people management responsibilities.
