Shift:  4:30am-2:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday (does not work on Thursdays)


The Mobile MMU Driver is responsible for the safe operation and oversight of the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) in accordance with all applicable organizational policies, DEA regulations, and state and federal requirements. This position ensures the safety, security, and readiness of the unit at each service location. The Mobile MMU Driver serves as a visible point of contact for community members, provides a welcoming and professional presence at each site, and actively monitors the surrounding area. This role works in close collaboration with all departments to successfully support the screening and induction of new clients as well as the ongoing services of existing clients.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Vehicle & MMU Operations

  • Safely operates the Mobile Medical Unit to and from assigned service locations in accordance with traffic laws, company policy, and established safety procedures
  • Completes required pre- and post-trip inspections, documents findings accurately, and promptly reports maintenance or repair needs
  • Prepares the MMU for daily operations by setting up and breaking down equipment, signage, and other site readiness needs at each location
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and professional appearance of the MMU interior and exterior at all times
  • Monitors vehicle systems, operating conditions, and overall unit readiness to support safe, compliant service delivery at each site
  • Acts as a liaison between the MMU and the local community. 
  • Greets clients and visitors in a professional, respectful, and welcoming manner
  • Supports front desk workflow by assisting with client check-in, sign-in procedures, and basic site coordination as needed
  • Answers routine questions and directs clients, visitors, and community members to the appropriate staff or service area
  • Helps maintain an orderly reception area and reports concerns or disruptions according to established procedures

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in substance abuse rehabilitation and/or opioid treatment programs (preferred)
  • Bilingual (preferred)
  • Culturally competent and sensitive to individualized client treatment needs
  • Valid Driver License and Motor Vehicle Clearance (satisfactory driving record for 39 months)


Tools and Equipment Requirements

  • Ability to use a phone, computer, printer, and copier is required 
  • Frequent use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)  
  • Ability to use the internet and various web browser software is required 
  • Frequent use of electronic health record to document patient encounters 

Physical Working Conditions

  • Requires sitting, standing, and bending
  • Some lifting may be required 
  • Combination of office-based and field-based work
