Position Title: 1099 full-time on-site or Tele-Psychiatrist

Location: Gulfport, MS 

Gulfport Behavioral Health System is a specialty hospital located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for more than 33 years.

Gulfport Behavioral provides a full range of treatment options, including outpatient therapy, day treatment and inpatient services for children as young as 4 years of age, adolescents, and adults. We are dedicated to helping patients develop the skills necessary to live a life of long-term recovery and health.

 Position Overview:

 

• Role: Full-time psychiatrist
• Patient Population: Child/Adolescent and adults populations
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Caseload: Will vary 
• Weekend/weekday Coverage: one weekend a month is preferred
• Employment Type: 1099 

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment follow-up for child and adolescent patients.
• Participate in daily treatment team meetings.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
• Complete required patient documentation and notes in accordance with facility guidelines.
• Supervision of NP on unit

Compensation and Benefits:

• 1099 

Qualifications:

 

• Education: Board Certification in General Psychiatry or BC in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry a plus.
• Training: Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency and Child/Adolescent fellowship program preferred.
• Licensure: Mississippi medical license and DEA in good standing or eligibility to obtain it.
• Experience: Must be comfortable treating child through adult populations.
