Description
Toyota Motor Philippines is looking for Safety Officer to join our General Services Department based in Santa Rosa City, Laguna, Philippines.
The Safety Officer is a member of the Safety and Health Services Section. In this role, you are expected to be a domain expert in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), responsible for developing and implementing safety programs, ensuring compliance with DOLE and OSH regulations, conducting risk assessments and audits, investigating incidents, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to foster a safe and healthy work environment.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive OSH programs aligned with workplace requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with DOLE and Philippine OSH standards, including sector-specific regulations.
- Lead safety initiatives in medium- to high-risk environments
- Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment, and job hazard analysis
- Facilitate design review for safety, conduct incident prevention and investigation
- Conduct investigations on accidents, incidents, non-compliance, and unsafe practices to improve safety performance
- Conduct safety and health regional audit
- Investigate and report accidents and incidents, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain and periodically review safety manuals, permits, records, and certifications to ensure compliance, accuracy, and up-to-date documentation.
- Analyze audit findings and trends and recommend continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety compliance and operational performance.
- Prepare, maintain, and submit DOLE reportorial requirements, ensuring timely compliance with occupational safety and health regulations.
- Conduct safety training, orientations, and awareness programs to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with occupational safety and health requirements.
What We're Looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial)
- Valid DOLE-accredited Safety Officer 2 (SO2) certification
- Knowledge of cost control, cost benefit analysis, and risk analysis
- Has knowledge in digital documentation & reporting platforms
- Willingness to work on weekends and holidays as required
- Ability to manage and implement safety programs in medium- to high-risk work environments.
- Strong sense of integrity and accountability
- Has strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate safety standards clearly, collaborate with stakeholders, and promote compliance through trust, respect, and partnership.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Skill advantages:
- Relevant OSH experience as Safety Officer 2 in medium- to high-risk industries (e.g., construction, manufacturing, logistics or chemical plants)
- Demonstrated ability to manage and implement occupational safety and health programs in high-risk environments
- Working knowledge of AutoCaD and Power BI
