St. Clair County Treasurer Cashier
Salary $36,000 - $39,000
Job Type
Full-time (non-union position)
Responsibilities for the Cashier
- Greet visitors in person and over the phone in a professional manner
- Initiate daily cash and check deposits
- Cashiering to collect real estate and mobile home taxes
- Maintain daily bank and financial reports
- File and Notate Returned Certified Mail
- Other duties as assigned
Essential functions for Cashier
- High school diploma or equivalent
- In office/person punctual attendance is required
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively with coworkers, outside departments, and public
- Ability to meet deadlines as assigned
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
Preferred qualifications for Office Clerk
- Previous cashiering, bank teller and/or Bookkeeping experience
- Some college having a background in the areas of math or accounting
- Proficient computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to speak Spanish
